I really like playing Luigi Mansion on the game cube. I found the game bitdifficult to start with and I used the help mode to learn how to suck up the ghost. After a while I managed to get the hang of it so I set of to the Mansion to try and find Mario. Which is basically the object of the game is to find Mario and free him. On the adventure you use a wonderful weaponed to suck up the ghost funnily enough this happens to be a vaccum cleaner.Pure genuis whoever thought of that.
The game gets harder but that what makes it more challenging and enjoyable.

I can see why people like this game. I have seen (and helped) Alice play this game many times. I have to say just hearing Lugi hmm the little creepy tune while I program my games or what ever makes me smile.
I haven't had a chance to play it though (apart from the time when I helped Alice get through some parts) but that is because I am waiting for her to complete it. So I can pinch it off her. almost there though! ;D

I haven't got the game, don't want it either, If I was to buy a GameCube it will be for Super Monkey Ball or Sonic Mega Collection, but these are comming out for PS2 soon anyway so there is no real point. apart from Mario Kart Double Dash, which I think rocks!

All i can say that the GC four player while the PS 2 only two player. It is fair enough to say that you dont want it but I be intrested to know why. I know not got muti game play as it is only for one player but I still believe it a great game. Cute too like Monkey Ball.

Well to be honest, the games don't scream out too me, they seem too childish, and Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion does seem to add to that effect. I am not saying they are not good games they are pretty brilliant, but the GameCube can't really shine with Cutesy games.
I know for a fact that if Nintendo really wanted too they could have whooped the PS2 to the ground, the Hardware inside the GameCube exceeds that of the PS2.
The PS2 has a 300Mhz CPU
NGC has around a 450Mhz CPU (based on IBM PowerPC tech - which is like OMG!)
The PS2 has a custom built 'Emotion Engine' graphics chip, I don't know how fast it is but romours is it is around 100MHz
The Gamecube has around 150MHz Graphics chip built by one the masters of graphics ATI.
So in theory the GameCube is far superior then the PS2, its just that ninty are too proud oftheir "Exclusive Range" that they hardly license any other game made by 3rd party, or they charge too much for games to be made on the GC I don't know.
So the reason I don't want one isn't because it isn't good enough, because it is... it just doesn't have the type of games I want.

wow, so it turns out the PS2 was the least powerful of all the next generation consoles! I didn't know that! but strangely it's the most popular (correct me if you think i'm wrong)
PS2 is four player by the way, you just have to purchase a multi-tap... which is a tad annoying i'll admit. still i used it loads for four player games.
i saw a review of luigi's mansion, looks quite fun but probably not my kind of game really.

I think when she said multiplayer she meant 'out of the box' not needing to buy a adapter.
But the PS2 is more popular because of what he said, Ninty are a bit uptight about which games are allowed to come out for the Cube, to think, if Ninty were to actually allow the GTA series to go onto the cube, it would have helped it out...
But it is more powerful then the PS2, but then again the XBOX has a 700MHz CPU (INTEL) but that isn't as popular. it is the amount of games people go for...
Quality over quantity doesn't matter anymore....

Well I've played on all 3 next generation consoles quite a bit and I think the orginal playstation beats them all. There were some real classics on there. These days they treat graphics as being the number one priority most of the time. Just to make it appeal to the 'casual' gamer.
Sure the games on these new consoles can be fun and impressive but hardly ever make me go 'wow' and stay in my memory. I could make a list of my fave games of all time and no next gen console game would be on there, quite dissapointing really.
