But the GameCube is supposed to have a 400Mhz Processor, surely it can handle a simple 16-BIT Processor. And what do you mean by adding another Processor onto the process?

The MegaDrive has a 12MHz CPU at the heart of it (which actually uses 32-BIT addresses. So I read) The MegaCD (the CD attachment for the MD) added another 12MHz CPU to help cope with the added features Like the Video Decompressing, image scale and rotation and of course the CD sound. In theory, if the MegaCD had a video output socket, then like I said in theory, the Mega CD can be its own Video Games Console. But it won't have the video and other stuff I said, it needs the md CPU to cope with all of that. So the GC can emulate the MegaDrive, but when the console or any computer for that matter has to emulate the dual processors it is hard work. My PC can just about handle megacd emulation and that is a 600MHz P3, It can't handle the 32X though

Either way, Sonic CD is still one of the best 16-BIT sonics ever!

I have only played it once, but even have to say it is really good, the special stages for the game are amazing.

I just thought I say that I have just completed Sonic CD with all time stones today, I have done it before but I had to wipe my Mega CD internal memory, anyone know where I can get a UK Mega CD Back-Up memory cart?
Or a way to transfer the saves to my PC, as the internal memory is very small! and I have games that take up a LOAD! of memory (no pun intended).

I think he means Sonic CD screens. lol.
I will try to sort some out as soon as I have made a ISO/MP3 extraction of the game for the emulator, as that is the only way I can really do it to be honest.

Naughty naughty, oh wait, you mean you will have to actually create the rom from your actual copy?
is that legal? I don't know about all that you see. can't wait for the screen shots.

Sonic CD is by far one of the greatest games ever released, the Mega CD although was a flop showed that Sega wernt afriad to try new things, look at the 32X. LOL
Either way Sonic CD and Sonic 3 & Knuckles are the best sonic games ever!
