I prefered the first one to be honest, the second one was just boring, at least with the first you could have played the levels in a random order, now that was fun!

yeh, but the only annoying thing about that game, was if you fell off the edge from say level 12 your'll sumtimes end up on 1! like i always did lol, and getting back up was just as hard as doing the actual level again! but toejam + earl 2 was like a makeover it has 2d graphics and was fun cuz it had loadsa hiding places for different things lol, how sad is this? but was good ole fun

urm dude, TJ&E had 2D graphics, it was just a isometric over head veiw. the falling off the edge was useful sometimes I found it cool to go all the way down to level 1, with either icarus wings or rocket skates, or even the rubber dinghy, and go all the way to the top right or bottom left corner of level 1.
Top right, gives you a island full of pressies. Bottom left, gives you a couple of pressies and another whole, that takes you to level 0 which each of you (two players) can get a extra life, and natter with the girls in the hot tub, falling of the edge of level 0 takes you back to the last level you were on.

Level 0, that was a classic level, I used to stay on that level for hours! even though there wasn't much too do.
what other great games are there to play?

In fact, most 16-BIT games did have 2D graphics, 2D is the X = horizontal, and the Y = Vertical even games today will have 2D graphics as your TV can actually only display 2D. this site has 2D graphics, and probably has more colours then the Mega Drive could handle (soz about all the technical jargon, my dads fault, way I was raised sorry. )

What do you mean? Have you got the BIOS files? thats all that you need to be honest, you will need BIOS files for: Japan, USA, and Europe, or just one of them if you know which region you will be playing on.
As I know you have access to a real MCD, I take it you are playing the Euro games, but I have to say, GENS cannot boot up the CD from a drive under Windows XP, at least I haven't found a way too yet.
What you will need to do is convert your MCD games into a ISO-MP3 format, it is pretty easy to do, but tell me which game it is, I could just put it on a CD for you, (already converted)
